12 Gavia immer, Estuário do Sado

This morning (26-Jan - 9am) from the plot of land next to Estaleiro da Lisnave, Setúbal there were 12 (twelve) Gavia immer seen around the Estuário do Sado.

2 inds seen distant on coastal side - towards Carraqueira, 4 inds. seen on southern side of estuary opposite shipyard - towards Pinheiro, 1 ind. seen at close range (200m) just off from the shipyard and a group of 5 inds. seen at close range (3-400m) moving up the channel towards Mitrena - these were photographed, see attached. All birds were seen in a single sweep of the estuary so double-counting is very, very unlikely.
